Easter!!!
While you were sleeping!!
This song has a good meaning. It is true, and it is sad. What will America do???? Our world is starting a downhill spiral away from God. Our world is overpowered by bad behavior. If you look at the media that is what is provided, not the good news, the bad. We as a country need God, it has been shown that when the people turned away from God they have failed. Do you see where I’m getting??? We don’t want this, and we can do what we can to stop it.
So will we go and turn into a counrty that was “sleeping”??? Or will we wake up and change or world????
What if his People Prayed???
I’ve always loved this song. I like the part about Oprah. It is so true, Jesus has the true answer to our problems, not Oprah.

We need more missionaries. It takes guts to stand on your faith when other scoff upon it. Christianity is meant to be spread. We are supposed to tell the world the good news, not hide in our corner and say we are Christians. What would God think of this?? I don’t think he would approve.

We should not be ashamed of what we believe, but we should not boast about it either. See there is a line on how far we can go, but we need to approach this line not stay as far away as possible. Jesus dieing on the cross and coming back to life for us. His taking away our sins so we could have eternal life is not supposed to be a secret. You can tell people, it’s not going to hurt.

Hiding in a corner because we are scared that we will be mocked because we believe something is cowardly. If you are hiding, do you really believe? If you are a true believer you would want the whole world to know of God’s sacrifice for us. God loved us to give up his son so we can be with him forever.

Yes we have the free will to go and hide, but you should still do what’s right. God gave us free will because he loves us, not so we screw up. Do what’s right. Go to the world praising God for all he has given you, and for his sacrifice. Do not be discouraged by the weird looks on peoples faces, or the scoffing they will provide. For by doing this you are saying God’s word and you may shed light on a person who needs it most.

So I was tired last night, and when I’m tired I don’t always make sense. So some how I was thinking of hot chocolate, and then I thought about Jesus. Don’t ask why or how that happened. Well some how my thoughts mixed together. The bam this came out “You know if you think about it Jesus is like Hot chocolate.”

I know odd, but let me explain. So think about this you have hot water, and then you add the powder. Bam you have perfect hot chocolate. So if you are “hot” about Jesus and mix him in your life you have perfect “Hot Chocolate”. Am I making sense?

The second situation. You have warm but not hot water. Now you add the hot chocolate powder. What do you get? Well not all the hot chocolate powder mixes in and you have stuff floating around. This means you could have better hot chocolate. So implying this with Jesus. You bring Jesus into your life, but you aren’t so sure. I mean you have faith in him, but there are always doubts. Plus you make mistakes so you can’t believe he can forgive you for everything. Your final product, OK hot chocolate.

The third and final situation. You have cold water, man it is so cold you shiver when you drink it. So you add the powder. When you add the powder it doesn’t mix, it tries to but it can’t. The cold water won’t let it. Now you see where I’m going. So you are cold for Jesus. You don’t believe in him, you do what you want, and you really don’t care about any God, and you don’t want one. So you’re resisting Jesus and it just can’t mix, but Jesus is trying to mix with you. So in the end you get a nasty drink that you put down the drain.
Now the saddest part most of us are the warm water. Not cold, but not quite hot. In every case Jesus want’s to be in you life, now it’s you’re choice on whether or not you except him. So that is how Jesus is like hot chocolate. I bet if you tell you’re friends that they’ll think you’re crazy, until you explain.
What God gives us, and how!
Have you ever asked for something and got something else. Well God works like that. He doesn’t always give you what you want how you want. He gives you what you need. And what do you want more, what you wanted or what you turned out to be. God gives us situation that can help us if we act right, but we need him to succeed. We may think we are doing what’s right but it turns out completely different. God knows what we need even when we don’t. So if you want exactly what you want when you want I’m sorry God doesn’t work that way. He does stuff ten thousand times better in the long round.
Christmas or shopping?
What if we did give less meaningless gifts. For my birthday instead of presents I asked for money for people. This money is going to some fund to purchase a well for the people who need it most. So what if we all did that for Christmas? What if we didn’t by that toy, that sweater, anything? What if instead we gave our time tot he people we loved? What if we brought back the meaning of Christmas? Not the gifts, but the gathering of a family to celebrate Jesus’s birth. We have lost the greatest gift in the world because of gifts. We by gifts on a holiday that never was intended for that. Why do we buy these gifts? I think that we don’t buy them for Jesus, if we did he would have a lot of ipods. Jesus is the true gift, the gift of eternal life, the son of God. And now on his birthday we give gifts. What has this holiday turned into? Now I’m not saying you can’t give gifts, but here’s an idea give the gift of clean water. Go to some fund and for Christmas make a card saying that for Christmas you gave people the gift of clean water in their name. And you don’t just have to do water. At certain funds you can give meals, live stock, and even an education. So what are you waiting for, go change the world one drop of water at a time.
